BioCare is a UK-based company that was established around 25 years ago, and now provides one of the UK’s leading supplement ranges. BioCare’s products include individual vitamins and minerals, multis and fish oils, but they are especially well known for their specialised combination supplements and their highly researched probiotics.

There are so many things we love about BioCare that it’s difficult to know where to start! Here are some of the highlights:

  • BioCare always uses bioavailable (easily absorbed) forms of nutrients – for example, magnesium malate, taurate and succinate rather than the cheaper, harder-to-absorb magnesium oxide. This is one of the reasons that BioCare products may sometimes be more expensive than a standard high street brand – you’re paying more, but you know you’re getting an effective product.
  • BioCare uses capsules, powders or liquids rather than tablets for the majority of their range. These forms tend to be easier for our body to break down and absorb, and avoid the need for lots of ‘excipients’ – inactive filler ingredients that are needed to form a solid tablet.
  • BioCare has probably the best range of children’s supplements in the UK, with around 15 products specifically designed for youngsters, including multivitamins and minerals, vitamin D, fish oils, probiotics and immune support.
  • For adults, we especially love BioCare’s ‘Intensive’ range of high-potency targeted supplements such as NT Intensive and MitoGuard Intensive. These products are in powder form to allow higher doses of effective, easily absorbed ingredients in one serving.
  • BioCare’s products are designed to be suitable for those with food allergies or sensitivities. Most products are completely free of common allergens (soy, gluten, dairy etc.), with those that do contain traces of these substances clearly marked on the label.
  • BioCare uses a unique process called micellisation for some of their fish oil products and fat-soluble vitamins. This process breaks oils down into tiny droplets packaged inside ‘micelles’ – clusters of molecules that are small enough to easily pass through the wall of the digestive tract, greatly increasing absorption.

As mentioned above, these extra steps that BioCare takes to produce quality products – including using the best ingredients, using capsules, liquids and powders rather than tablets, and unique processes such as micellisation – can mean that we pay a bit more for the supplements, but they are much more likely to support our health and give us the results we’re looking for.

We also love the team at BioCare – everyone is really passionate about your individual health and wellness. They have a free nutritional advice line and are always on hand to answer questions about their range or to help you choose the right product. Give them a call on 0121 433 8702.
