Pulsin’ is a small UK company set up and run by Ben, Nick and Simon. Pulsin’ specialises in making high-quality, pure single protein powders, with the range now extending to six different types: whey, pea, rice, soya, hemp and sunflower.

Here’s what we love about Pulsin’s protein powders:

  • They are all free from sugars, sweeteners and flavourings. Each type only contains one ingredient: the protein itself (with the exception of a small amount of soya lecithin in the whey protein).
  • Pulsin’s proteins are excellent value for money: weight for weight, they can be as little as half the price of other brands of protein powder, yet you’re still getting a high-quality product.
  • They come in small and large bags. The small ones are an excellent option if you want to try out a new type of protein without committing to a large bag, or to take with you when travelling.
  • Most of the proteins are suitable for vegans, who may be particularly in need of extra protein in their diet (all except the whey proteins are vegan-friendly).
  • They’re excellent for those who have allergies or intolerances: because each product only contains one type of protein rather than a combination, it’s easy to avoid specific proteins that you may be allergic or intolerant too. They’re also free from gluten, dairy (except the whey protein of course) and most other allergens.

Because they’re unsweetened and unflavoured, you can use Pulsin’s proteins in both sweet and savoury foods – for example, stir them into vegetable soups (after cooking) to boost the protein content without adding any clashing flavours!
